Reconstruction of historical wall coverings at Lohm Castle

In the district of Ostpriegnitz-Ruppin in Brandenburg lies the historical castle of Lohm which was rebuilt several times in the course of history. Currently it is being reconstructed in accordance with its primary status by the owner Hilmar Bergmann.

Originally the walls of the halls were decorated with precious wall coverings which however belong to the castle Berlin Friedrichsfelde today.

My project was aimed at creating copies of the historical wall coverings taking into consideration both the original design and the new size of the halls which had been changed after the gutting of the building.

Pictures of the work in process and of the wall coverings as hanging in Lohm Castle now can be seen here.
